MegaCache [Imperial Technology Inc.]

MegaCache is a disk accelerator. It installs transparently between thehost computer and the string of SCSI disks. Capacity of the high speedcache can be from 67 MB 60 over 800 MB. Disk performance improvements ofover 400% have been seen.Caching data being written to the system disks can produce majorperformance improvement. With MegaCache this can be done with totalsecurity. An internal UPS powers the MegaCache if system power fails andall data not written to the system disks is preserved on a hard diskmounted inside the MegaCache enclosure. As soon as system power isrestored MegaCache automatically completes the writing by putting all thecached data on the system disks.
